Stardust's Old Location to Become the Next Mega Resort!
Boyd Gaming has sold the 87 acre site where the Stardust once stood to the Genting Group, a Malaysian group that was founded in 1965. The Genting Group plans to build a 175,000 square foot casino with 3,500 rooms. The resort is going to have a Chinese themed that will come with a replica of the Great Wall of China. There are also talks about the resort having an indoor water park. The mega resort is to be called Resorts World Las Vegas. It is hope to have it opened by 2016 and to take between $2 to $6 billion dollars to complete. The Genting Group is very excited and plan to take advantage of the opportunity when making this next Mega Resort a reality. Although, it is very exciting news that the area will hopefully have something amazing to look forward to there are certain groups that are not too happy about it due to what rival properties believe will increase the challenge of filling rooms in their casinos. Only time will tell what will happen but from the pictures below the mega resort definitely looks like it will be an incredible place to visit and stay at.
