The Sahara Las Vegas Casino was opened in 1952 and operated under the Sahara name for 59 years. In 2011 the Sahara closed their doors and was renamed to the SLS Las Vegas that is planned to open August 23, 2014.
The Sahara Las Vegas Casino was considered of one of the last remaining vintage "Rat Pack" casino hotel. The only remaining vintage casino to this day is the Riviera Hotel and Casino. The Sahara Las Vegas Casino was the 6th casino resort to open on the strip.
These $20 plaques we have are from 1974. They were used in the table games. They are 100% authentic and would make a great addition to anybody's collection
