New Fontainebleau Las Vegas Casino Chips on Sale

Last week, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas had its grand opening on the Las Vegas Strip. The opening of Las Vegas Boulevard's newest resort was 18 years in the making. Due to numerous legal and financial issues, construction on the project got halted for many years.

The resort sat closed at the North end of the Las Vegas Strip until last week. The hotel and casino being open is a great addition to that area of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas is named after the Miami Beach resort that opened in 1954.

Here are 10 facts about the Fontainebleau Las Vegas:

One: Pop music superstar Justin Timberlake performed at the grand opening. Reportedly, he was paid $6 million for the performance.

Two: Other celebrities in attendance at the grand opening included Sylvester Stallone, Cher and Paul Anka.

Three: Before construction finished, it was at one point used a training ground for firefighters.

Four: In 2018, a man trespassed at the unfinished resort and caused $10 million in damage from a fire.

Five: The final cost of the resort was $3.5 billion.

Six: There are over 3500 hotel rooms.

Seven: It is one of the tallest buildings in Nevada.

Eight: On the casino front, there are 1300 slot machines and 128 table games. 

Nine: There are approximately 35 high-end retail stores.

Ten: The owners are Fontainebleau Development and Koch Real Estate Investments.
