Over the course of this newsletter, we have told you about all types of collecting from chips to tokens. Today, we are going to tell you about silver strikes. Additionally, for the first time, we are also listing our silver strike collection online for sale. You can see the first part of that collection below.

Silver Strikes are won by playing slot machines. They come in a variety of denominations including $2, $3, $5, $7, $10, $20, $28, $40, $200 and $300. The most common won you will find in slot machines is the $10 one. That is what our collection of silver strikes is below. The $10 silver strikes are made of a .999 silver outing. They are composed of 0.60 ounces of silver.

For some people, winning silver strikes has become more of a goal than winning jackpots on the slot machines. Casinos issue different sets of them. The goal of many people is to collect all of them within a casino’s set. You will find there are some silver strike collectors who are missing one from a specific casino and are always looking to find it. Reportedly, some casinos in Las Vegas including the Imperial Palace use to offer a $200 Silver Strike if you turned in 20 $10 ones.

In Las Vegas, you can currently find silver strike slot machines at the Plaza Hotel and Casino and Four Queens Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas. Outside of the State of Nevada, there are machines at Route 66 In Albuquerque, New Mexico and the Coushatta Casino in Kenner, Louisiana.
